Western Nigeria is preparing to welcome leaders of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church as they arrive on June 28, 2026, to participate in the West-Central Africa Division (WAD) Ministerial Retreat scheduled to hold at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, from June 28 to July 5, 2026.
The retreat, themed “Grounded in the Bible, Focused on the Mission,” will bring together pastors, ministerial leaders, administrators, and their families from across the West-Central Africa Division for a week of spiritual renewal, leadership development, fellowship, and mission emphasis.
Among the distinguished guests expected are the three principal officers of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists:
- Pastor Erton C. Köhler, President of the General Conference
- Pastor Richard E. McEdward, Executive Secretary of the General Conference
- Pastor Paul H. Douglas, Treasurer of the General Conference
These leaders were elected during the 62nd General Conference Session and now provide spiritual, administrative, and financial leadership for the global Seventh-day Adventist Church. Their presence in Nigeria underscores the strategic importance of the West-Central Africa Division in advancing the Church’s mission across the African continent and beyond.
As preparations intensify, church members across Western Nigeria are encouraged to pray for the safe arrival of the General Conference leaders and all delegates attending the retreat.
